Mirza Adeeb(1914-1999):

The real name of the writer is Dilawar Ali and the poet name is Mirza Adeeb.After matriculating from Islamia High School Bhati Gate in 1935,he did his B.Sc. O Honors!

Mirza Adeeb's literary life began in the year 1936. At that time Islamia College Lahore had many scholars and literary personalities who helped in cultivating Mirza's literary tastes. Mirza initially turned his attention to poetry, but soon abandoned it and turned to fiction and drama.

He took over the editorship of the magazine "Adab Latif" in 1935 and remained associated with it for a long time.Mirza Adeeb plays an important role in Yak Bani and radio drama writing. After the partition of India, Mirza Adeeb played an important role in the development of Yak Babi drama in Urdu literature. He knew the pulse of society, so the themes of his plays relate to ordinary and everyday life. Mirza Adeeb has given special importance to the human desires and expectations of his society.
