Nazeer Akbarabadi(1735-1830):


Nazar's real name is Williama.He was born in Delhi but spent most of his life in Akbarabad,so he used to write Akbarabadi with his name.Of the twelve brothers,only Nazeer is alive,so his parents were the apple of his eye.At the time of Ahmad Shah Abdali's invasion,Nazeer wore his mother and grandmother to Agra and lived in a house near Taj Mehal.

Nawab Saadat Ali Khan called him to Lucknow,but he did not go.Similarly,the invitation of Bharatpur base also remained as a teacher in Thakradi Thar for some time but soon he quit his job and came to Agra and became the guardian of Lala Las Ram's children for seventeen rupees a month.Nazeer lived a long life.He contracted the disease in his last years and due to this disease he died.

Nazir Akbarabadi saw the era of Mir Vasuda,Naskh and Atash and Inshau Jurrat but due to his independent nature he remained the most isolated.His poetry is public.He has embodied in his poetry the environment of his neighborhood,the customs and traditions of his time and civilization.He chose topics for poetry that were directly related to the people,especially the poor and needy.In his poems,landscapes,religious festivals,simple rituals,fairs,stalls,animals,fruits and vegetables are mentioned interchangeably.He expanded the scope of Jordanian rhetoric.

He wrote long moral and original poems.In addition,scenes related to reading his poems on nature,seasons and festivals.Rey reflects his extraordinary observations and profound life experiences.Nazir's language is common sense and simple.The semiotics of his poetry is of great importance in Urdu literature.
