Altaf Hussain Hali was born in Paniput on 1837.His ancestors came to India in the time of Ghiyasuddin Balbin.When he was only nine years old,his father had died.The brothers completed their upbringing.The company of Hali and Sheftah was specially rewarding for him.The relationship with Sirsiad was also established for the sake of it.After the death of Sheftah and Ghalib,he came to Lahore and joined the Punjab Book depot.Somewhere he was introduced to English literature.Write modern style poems and urdu poetry raised the correction of people.In 1887,the government got a hundred rupees stipend from Hyedrabad,he quit his job and spent the rest of his life in editing.
